Founding
From the Ashes
It's been said that we rise, fall, and rise again.When the Garden's former leader first decided to call an estate home instead of the streets, it was evident that the place they chose was abandoned for some time; dense overgrowth, a clear view of the sky from above, and a collapsed stairwell leading to what was supposed to be the second floor. Not much effort was put towards cleaning up the place as it was supposed to be a project for her and another comrade, but neither of them had been seen for weeks.Enter Maeve, who found a sealed letter in the entryway, asking that the next caretaker look after the estate as well as its inhabitants: members of a seasoned yet broken company.
Letter to a Hunter
Over the course of several months, Maeve had made an effort to make the estate livable enough in some areas, but she struggled to find the time and energy to restore a two-story estate alone. She would often think back to the night that she had first acquired such a space, the words from the former leader's letter etched in her mind:What we believed this place could be, turned out to be nothing more than a fever dream. The damage is simply too extensive. It's yours, if you so choose. Knowing you, this must be said: think long and hard about your choice, and do not forget the people that reside within these walls.
For Those Who Walk After
Being a solo hunter and traveler for her entire adult life, looking after other people wasn't something that came easily for Maeve. The thought of simply razing the place to the ground crossed her mind one too many times. However, being a woman of her word and wanting to honor her former comrade's wishes, she decided to take up the mantle of looking after whoever remained in the estate, as well as cultivating what would be the foundation of a budding number in Eorzea.Thus, the Keep's doors were opened for the first time since before the estate was passed down. The Garden of the Stars would serve as a refuge for wanderers in need of respite, as well as a resource for adventurers in need of a place to begin their journey. No debts, no obligation - just a place for sparks of all seasons to bloom together.

The garden was created under the premise of not only new beginnings, but celebrating and embracing that journey, no matter your progress. Wanting to aid adventurers of all experience levels, Maeve has labored tirelessly to cultivate and foster a home that anyone could thrive in; whether you are setting out on your first adventure, or you are a seasoned warrior, there is a place for everyone.
A Breath of Respite
From extinguishing threats to aiding people across Hydaelyn, adventurers have plenty of opportunities to gain valuable experience while facing new challenges. In the lulls where everyone is off-duty, folks spend their time how they choose to, but taking part in community-driven events and lighthearted charitable causes will always be highly encouraged.
Symbols
Morpho
With blue wings practically glowing, this butterfly feels almost like a spirit. Almost. According to a bloom's younger sister, it's been said that Morphos are souls of the departed; when they cross your path or trail behind you, they're meant to serve as messengers, companions and even protectors in those moments.Since hearing that tale, Maeve has committed to work alongside Lila to carefully raise and restore the morpho population from near extinction. As numbers have greatly increased, they've decided to gift each new member with one to serve as a companion in their travels. This way, whether members are with the Garden for a fleeting moment or they choose to call it home forever... may they never walk alone.
Iridescent Blooms
A strange overgrowth of brightly glowing flowers permeated the floors of the previous estate. After asking various sources about this specimen, the conclusion that Maeve came to was that they were a symbol of resilience and hope. She found this to be fitting, considering the history of the company prior to her inheritance, and has since tended to them and even brought some to the new estate to continue to light the way for this new era of the Garden.
Warm Mugs
As time has passed, one Ishgardian knight has made close connections with various members of the Garden. His philosophy has always been that there is nothing a good hot chocolate couldn't fix, and since then it has become tradition to share stories and woes over warm mugs.
Ned
A peculiar creature, rumored to have been saved from a group of Far Eastern hunters when he was very young. At present, he serves as the estate's mender. Would you look this entity in the eyes and allow for him to take your equipment for repairs?

The Garden of the Stars is a roleplay-friendly free company. Over time, certain company events will be framed within an ongoing open storyline, and all members are warmly encouraged to build their own stories for their characters. If you’ve never tried roleplaying before, but perhaps are interested in giving it a try, this is a safe place to do so without any fear of judgment.What to expect:

Q: Do you accept alt characters?
A: Yes, one per member. Please note that alts are not exempt from the company's inactivity policy.❀Q: What is your inactivity policy?
A: Effective December 23rd, 2025, players that have been inactive for more than 30 days without prior communication will be discharged from the company. This is not a permanent farewell; when you return to the game you are more than welcome to re-apply and we will happily accept you with open arms.❀Q: Do you have a probationary period?
A: Yes! All members that join will undergo a two-week probationary period that serves as a 'vibe check' of sorts. The only notable restriction is access to the company chest; once two weeks have passed and you have obtained 'Blooms' rank you will have access to tabs 1 and 2 in the chest.❀Q: What types of players are you looking for?
A: Anyone who loves Eorzea as much as we do! We have a wide range of folks, from sprouts who have never touched a MMO before all the way up to seasoned ultimate raiders. There's something for everyone here!❀Q: What does 'RP Lite' mean?
A: While our company has extensive lore and many of our members enjoy the art of storytelling and character building, we are not centered around roleplaying. We do, however, host pop-ups from time to time to give members a chance to flex their roleplaying muscles as well as give folks that are new to RP a safe place to learn!❀
